Full Breakdown
Hesperia Municipal Code § 8.04.320 sets exact timing for curbside carts: containers may not go out earlier than sunset of the day before the scheduled collection day, and every container must be removed from the collection point before 8:00 p.m. on the day it was emptied. The section also requires carts to sit with wheels in the gutter and handle facing the residence, at least six feet from any obstruction, and bars placing any container in the roadway itself. Owners, tenants, and occupants must keep containers in sanitary condition.
Violations & Fines
Placing or leaving containers out at the wrong times violates § 8.04.320 and is enforced under Chapter 1.12's citation process; the franchisee may also decline to service an out-of-compliance container.
