Southaven, MS Trash & Recycling: Bin Placement Rules (2026)

DeSoto County, MS cities regulate bin placement under municipal property maintenance codes adopted pursuant to MS Code Ann. §21-19-1 et seq. (municipal authority over nuisances). Residents must place trash and recycling carts at the curbside or alley edge on their scheduled collection day with lids fully closed to prevent wind-blown litter.
