Bergenfield bulk pickup allows up to four pieces of household furniture, two appliances, and one carpet per scheduled bulk day. Contractor debris, electronics, and chemicals are excluded.
Bergenfield DPW operates quadrant-based bulk pickup on scheduled days only — no special pickups are available. Per bulk day, residents may set out up to four pieces of household furniture, two household appliances (such as ovens, washers, dryers, or refrigerators with doors removed), and one carpet or rug not exceeding 12 feet long or one foot in diameter (including pad). Air conditioning units count as appliances. The DPW does not collect contractor debris, concrete, bricks, asphalt, rocks, mortar, stone, wet paint, chemicals, tires, fluorescent bulbs, vehicle and rechargeable batteries, propane or fuel tanks, fire extinguishers, TVs, computers, monitors, CPUs, laptops, tablets, printers, or fax machines.
Exceeding the four-furniture or two-appliance limit, placing prohibited materials at the curb, or scheduling outside designated bulk days violates Bergenfield's solid waste rules.
