Parker, TX Trash & Recycling: Bulk Item Disposal (2026)

04(A), most recently amended by Ordinance 777 on August 4, 2020, defines bulky items as appliances and other trash items too large to be contained in the residential trash bin, the same definition used elsewhere in Chapter 53's collection rules. Division (C) sets the placement window: it is a violation to place or store bulky or brush items less than 25 feet from the edge of the road surface, or anywhere visible to the public, before the Thursday prior to the Monday of the week the city's solid waste service provider is scheduled to remove them.

03 language added in 2022. 04 is subject on conviction to a fine of up to $500 for each offense, and the code treats each day the violation continues as a separate offense, so an appliance left curbside for a week ahead of schedule can generate multiple citations rather than one. The section applies to items visible to the public, not just those literally within 25 feet of the pavement, so screening an appliance behind a fence does not by itself satisfy the rule if it remains publicly visible.
