Victorville residents receive on-call bulky item pickups from Advance Disposal as part of their service. Items such as furniture, mattresses, and large appliances must be placed curbside on the scheduled day.
Victorville residents with Advance Disposal residential service are entitled to on-call bulky item pickups of large household items that do not fit in the regular carts. Eligible items generally include couches, chairs, mattresses and box springs, tables, dressers, large toys, and white-goods appliances such as refrigerators, washers, and dryers. Refrigerators and freezers that contain refrigerant may require special handling. Electronic waste, household hazardous waste, and sharps are not bulky items and must be handled through separate programs at county collection events or drop-off centers. Residents schedule pickups by calling Advance Disposal at least one to two business days in advance. Items must be placed at the curb by 6:00 a.m. on the scheduled day, arranged neatly, and separated from regular trash carts. Illegal dumping of bulky items in the public right-of-way, in the desert, or on vacant lots is prohibited and subject to substantial fines under the Municipal Code.
