Single-family residential customers in Rialto are eligible for up to two free bulky-item pickups per calendar year through Burrtec, plus quarterly Community Clean-Up days hosted by the City. Vehicle parts, construction debris, and hazardous waste are excluded.
Each free bulky pickup includes up to ten items per service (furniture, mattresses, appliances, etc.) and up to two rimless tires at no charge. Additional items beyond ten are accepted for a small fee per item. Vehicle parts, construction/demolition materials, and household hazardous waste (paint, oil, batteries, e-waste) are not eligible β those go to the HHW collection site at 246 S. Willow Avenue. Schedule a bulky pickup by calling Burrtec at 909-877-1596. The City also holds Community Clean-Up days (2026 dates: January 24, April 11, July 11, October 24) for additional disposal of large items. Apartment, condominium, and mobile-home-park residents must coordinate through their property management; the bulky-item franchise applies to single-family customers.
Setting out bulky items without scheduling a pickup, or placing prohibited items (tires beyond 2, construction debris, hazmat) for bulky collection, may result in non-collection and an illegal-dumping citation under RMC Title 8 and Cal. Pen. Code Β§374.3.
