Collection itself must be made 'as quietly as possible,' and the Town Council, not the hauler, fixes the specific hours of collection by resolution under § 6.20.090. The hauler's trucks are separately regulated: § 6.20.110 requires metal-lined, leak-proof vehicles covered by a tarpaulin from pickup to disposal, washed at least weekly and steam-cleaned monthly.
On the customer side, § 6.20.140 requires solid waste, recyclables and organic materials to be removed from a residential premises at least once a week; letting waste accumulate past that point is itself prohibited, and each additional day of noncompliance counts as a separate offense.
