Chino Hills contracts with WM (Waste Management) as its exclusive franchised hauler; single-family homes get three 95-gallon carts, residents pull carts out the night before or by 6:00 a.m. on collection day, and customers are billed directly by WM.
The City of Chino Hills provides solid-waste, recycling, and organics collection through an exclusive franchise with WM (Waste Management). The City's FAQ confirms WM is the provider (reachable at 800-423-9986) and that 'Customers are billed and need to pay for their trash services directly to WM.' Single-family homes receive three 95-gallon SB 1383-compliant carts: a black lid for trash, a blue lid for recyclables, and a green lid for organics. For set-out, the City instructs residents to 'Pull your carts to the curb the night before or no later than 6:00 am on your collection day.' The City lists the standard residential rate for three-container service as '$29.49, effective July 1, 2025,' with additional carts at '$4.49 per cart, per month.' Each address has an assigned collection day, which residents can look up using WM's schedule tool by address through the City's Trash Services page. Because the City has an exclusive franchise, residents may not contract with a different trash company for regular collection. These are City of Chino Hills program rules, distinct from neighboring City of Chino and San Bernardino County service.
Residents must use the City's franchised hauler (WM) and pay WM directly; private competing haulers are not permitted under the exclusive franchise. Set carts out no earlier than the night before, by 6:00 a.m. on collection day. Contact WM or the City for service or billing issues.
