Burrtec Waste Industries is the exclusive residential hauler in Rancho Cucamonga. Weekly pickup includes trash, recycling, and green waste carts, with schedules shifted one day after observed holidays.
Rancho Cucamonga contracts with Burrtec Waste Industries as the exclusive franchised waste hauler for single-family residential, multifamily, and commercial service under Municipal Code Chapter 8.17. Each single-family household receives three 96-gallon carts: a black cart for refuse, a blue cart for commingled recycling, and a green cart for organic and yard waste, picked up on a weekly schedule assigned by neighborhood. Residents must place carts at the curb by 6:00 AM on the collection day and remove carts by the end of the same day under Section 8.17.050. Cart lids must close fully, and bagged overflow outside the cart is not collected. After major holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day, collection shifts forward by one day for the remainder of that week. California SB 1383 requires organic waste diversion from all residents, so food scraps must be placed in the green organics cart rather than the black refuse cart. Missed pickups should be reported to Burrtec customer service within 24 hours for same-week recovery.
