Humble provides weekly residential trash and recycling collection through Republic Services. Residents must place bins curbside by the designated collection time. Bulk waste and large items require separate scheduling. Hazardous waste is not accepted in regular collection.
Humble's residential waste collection is provided by Republic Services under a city contract. Regular trash collection occurs weekly on designated days by neighborhood. Recycling collection is also provided on a weekly or biweekly schedule depending on the service area. Bins must be placed at the curb by 7 AM on collection day with lids closed and handles facing the street. Bins should not be placed out more than 12 hours before collection. Bags placed outside bins may not be collected. Bulk items such as furniture and appliances require separate scheduling with Republic Services. Yard waste collection follows a designated schedule and may require bundling or bagging. Hazardous materials including paint, chemicals, batteries, and electronics are not accepted in regular collection and must be taken to Harris County household hazardous waste facilities. Contact Republic Services or Humble City Hall at (281) 446-3061 for collection schedules and service questions.
Placing prohibited materials in trash or recycling bins may result in the bin being skipped. Bins not meeting placement requirements may not be collected. Illegal dumping of trash is a criminal offense. Placing hazardous materials in residential collection bins violates waste hauler policies and may result in service suspension.
