Neenah, WI Trash & Recycling: Recycling Requirements (2026)

The City of Neenah requires all occupants of buildings, both residential and non-residential, to separate specific materials for recycling as designated by the Director of Public Works. The single-stream cart list covers aluminum and bi-metal containers, corrugated paper and container board, glass containers, magazines, newspapers, office paper, SPI-labeled plastic containers, and steel containers. A separate category of items, including waste oil, lead-acid batteries, waste tires, electronics, yard waste, and major appliances, requires special collection or disposal rather than curbside cart recycling. Recyclable materials separated under this section may not then be disposed of at a landfill or burned, and no recyclable may be bagged in plastic.
