O'Fallon, MO Animal Ordinances: Bird Protection (2026)

020(A)(6) of the O'Fallon Code prohibits, while in or about any park property, feeding, hunting, molesting, harming, frightening, killing, trapping, chasing, teasing, shooting or throwing projectiles of any kind at any animal, fish, reptile or bird. The same subsection makes it unlawful to remove or possess the young of any wild animal, or the eggs, nest or young of any reptile or bird, and separately requires compliance with the Missouri Wildlife Code while on park property. 020 to include any park preservation, playground, recreation center, building or other area owned or used by the City for passive or active recreation, and historical or memorial purposes, so the protection runs across all O'Fallon parks rather than a single named site.

070(A)(2) reinforce this by generally barring firearms, air rifles, bows and slingshots in parks, closing off the tools most commonly used to violate the bird-protection clause, though the Director may permit trapping of a nuisance animal to the extent state law allows.
