O'Fallon, MO Animal Ordinances: Wildlife Feeding (2026)

020 of the O'Fallon Code, governing conduct on park property, lists two distinct prohibitions relevant to feeding wildlife. Subsection (A)(7) makes it unlawful to "give, offer or attempt to give any animal or bird any food, beverage or any known noxious substances" while in or about park property, which the code defines broadly to include any park preservation, playground, recreation center, building or other area owned or used by the City for passive or active recreation. Subsection (A)(6) separately bars anyone from feeding, hunting, molesting, harming, frightening, killing, trapping, chasing, teasing, shooting or throwing projectiles at any animal, fish, reptile or bird, and bars taking the young, eggs or nest of any wild animal, reptile or bird, or violating the Missouri Wildlife Code.

These rules apply specifically to City park property; O'Fallon's code does not extend a general feeding ban to private yards or non-park public land. 015 can issue orders park visitors must obey.
