The prohibition reflects the same set of concerns that rules out kennels and boarding: animal noise, odor, and traffic that home occupation performance standards, built for quiet office and craft uses, are not designed to absorb. Even a small-scale grooming setup that would otherwise fit inside the 300-square-foot home occupation footprint under § 154-15.08(B)(1) cannot be licensed as a home occupation once it falls under § 154-15.08(C)(6) or (C)(7), because those uses are excluded by category rather than by size or intensity.
