C(C) of the Unified Land Use Code sets the standards for a stand-alone Child Care Center. 2, DT Bufferyards. Littleton regulates in-home child care separately as an accessory use. A(D)(11) permits a Family Child Care Home only where the principal use is a single-family detached or attached dwelling, requires the same 30-inch fence around exterior yard space used for child care, requires the operator to hold a current license from the Colorado Department of Human Services, and bars the home child care use from creating parking or traffic congestion or otherwise interfering with the peace and enjoyment of surrounding residences.

Together the two provisions mean the fencing height and licensing expectations carry over whether a child care use operates out of a dedicated commercial building or out of someone's house, but only the stand-alone Child Care Center triggers the district-based bufferyard requirement against adjoining residential zoning.
