Long Branch's electrical subcode fee schedule at § 147-3C prices most residential work by counting devices in blocks of 25: the first block of one to 25 receptacles, fixtures or devices costs $80, and each additional block of up to 25 costs $35. That count sweeps in wall switches, convenience receptacles, light fixtures, exit signs, emergency lights, smoke and heat detectors, CO detectors, alarm devices, motion sensors, keypads, thermostats and similar fixtures rated 20 amperes or less, plus motors or equipment under one horsepower. Light standards taller than eight feet are billed separately at $25 per fixture.

Specialty items include $210 for the first 10 kW of a solar photovoltaic system, $90 to $125 for an electric vehicle charging system depending on use group, and tiered per-pedestal fees for marina dock power ranging from $40 each for the first 10 pedestals down to $15 each above 50. The minimum electrical subcode fee is $80 regardless of scope, and all fees are due before the Building Department issues the construction permit.
