City Code § 150-016(I) sets separate inspection charges beyond the base permit fee: inspections outside normal business hours run $75 per hour with a two-hour minimum, weekend and holiday inspections run $150 per hour with a two-hour minimum, and a reinspection because work wasn't ready costs $75 per hour. Two amendments to the adopted IBC tighten what inspectors must verify before signing off. Section 150-016(M) deletes the code's built-in exception to lath and gypsum panel product inspection, meaning every lath and gypsum installation in the city must be inspected before it's covered, with no exception available.

Section 150-016(N) requires that, for property in a flood hazard area, documentation of the lowest floor's elevation, as required under the city's adopted floodplain ordinances, be submitted to both the building official and the City floodplain administrator before the final inspection can proceed. Inspections and plan reviews are handled by the Department of Community Development, Building Safety Division, created under § 150-016(B), and additional plan review triggered by late-stage design changes is billed separately at the same hourly rates listed for inspections.
