Oldham County, KY Business Licensing & Operations: Adult Entertainment (2026)

Oldham County Code § 110.091, part of the county's alcoholic beverage control chapter, flatly bars any licensee from offering or permitting nudity or adult entertainment activities on licensed premises. The list of prohibited activities is specific: nude or nearly nude dancing, adult motion pictures, television, slide or stage shows, cabarets, and sexual entertainment centers are all off-limits at any establishment holding a county alcohol license. The section separately prohibits explicit sexual activity, whether actual or simulated, on licensed premises, and bars licensees from sponsoring or permitting wet T-shirt or wet clothing contests, lingerie fashion shows, mud wrestling or Jello wrestling.

It goes further to prohibit any licensee from allowing dancing with touching for compensation, including wages, tips or gratuities, or any other service, display or contest requiring physical contact between patrons, or between patrons and employees, on the licensed premises. Because the county has no separate sexually oriented business licensing chapter or spacing ordinance, this provision functions as the county's only local regulation of adult entertainment activity, and it applies only to premises that hold an alcohol license from the County ABC Administrator; it does not create a standalone adult-business permit or distance requirement for an unlicensed adult retail or entertainment venue.

Enforcement runs through the County ABC Administrator and local law enforcement officers, who are authorized under § 110.115 to enforce the chapter for alleged violations, and the Administrator has full police powers to investigate and inspect licensed premises without a warrant under § 110.116.
