Beyond the general business-license application in Chapter 17-1 (owner name, date of birth and address, registered business name, state and federal tax numbers, location, and a description of the business), § 17-2-1001 layers on towing-specific proof: current towing property damage liability insurance of at least $25,000, evidence the operator meets Utah Department of Transportation and State Tax Commission requirements, and confirmation that vehicles are towed to and stored at a towing and impound yard located inside West Valley City that meets all applicable requirements. Every driver must carry a driver's license, the company's business license, and a UDOT card at all times while working, per § 17-2-1001(2).
