Encroachment Permits
Any utility work, pavement cut, road or lane closure, or other encroachment into a public right-of-way or easement in unincorporated Barrow County needs a permit from the director of public works before work starts. The permit expires if the work has not started within 90 days, or if it is not finished within six months of issuance, forcing the applicant to reapply.
