Off-premise digital billboards in unincorporated Bossier Parish cannot exceed .3 footcandles over ambient light and must carry automatic dimming, per Code § 126-888(l)(3)f. The Metropolitan Planning Commission measures brightness with a footcandle meter from 200 or 250 feet and bars any sign bright enough to blind drivers or wash out a traffic signal.

Freeway-Facing Signs

Off-premise signs oriented toward a raised expressway in unincorporated Bossier Parish may rise to whichever is taller: the height Table f allows for the district and residential setback, or 25 feet above the expressway's centerline. Height is measured from the sign's base or the shoulder of the adjacent Interstate highway right-of-way, whichever is higher, per § 126-888(f).
