Obstruction Rules

It's unlawful to block a public sidewalk, street or roadway in unincorporated Bulloch County badly enough to make it impassable, or to intentionally cut off public access to a property. Sec. 11.5-30(a)(1)-(2) bans both kinds of obstruction, and the county can remove the obstruction itself if the responsible person won't.

Encroachment Permits

Digging into, altering, or building a driveway across a public right-of-way in unincorporated Bulloch County requires a county permit first. Sec. 11.5-30 makes unpermitted excavation and unpermitted private-road or driveway construction in the right-of-way unlawful, and Sec. 11.5-32 requires a written application and nonrefundable fee before the county engineer will issue one.
