Butte County's Sec. 15-14 makes it unlawful to loiter or stand on a public highway, alley, sidewalk or crosswalk in a way that annoys pedestrians or blocks their free passage, to loiter at the entrance of a church, theater, store or other public assemblage so as to obstruct it, or to loiter about a school where children are present.

15-153 - Regulation of smoking in county-owned facilities. All enclosed facilities owned, leased or rented by the county shall be subject to the provisions of this article. No public employee or member of the public shall smoke any tobacco product or operate any electronic smoking device in an outdoor area within twenty (20) feet of a main exit, entrance, or operable window of a county building.
Public Alcohol Use
Along Butte Creek between the PG&E hydroelectric facility above Centerville Dam and the county's southern boundary, Section 7-9.2 bans drinking or carrying an open alcoholic container in the creek bed, on its banks between the high and low water marks, or while wading or bathing.
