Frequency, Duration & Permits

Charlotte County lets homeowners run a yard or garage sale without any permit, but only if it lasts two calendar days or less and stays within a Type 1 temporary-use footprint under County Code Sec. 3-9-87(b)(2)a. Go past either limit and the sale becomes a regulated temporary use requiring an application, a $150 fee, and county sign-off before it can open.
