Delivery Truck Noise

Clayton County bans unreasonably loud truck parking, loading, and unloading noise, along with outdoor loudspeakers, between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. under Sec. 62-3.3(17). The nighttime restriction targets delivery and commercial vehicle activity that disturbs residents trying to sleep, separate from the county's general daytime noise rules.

(17)Vehicles and loudspeakers. Noises associated with (i) the parking, loading, and unloading of trucks and other vehicles, and (ii) the use of mechanical loudspeakers or amplifiers emanating outside of buildings when such noises are unreasonably loud so as to disturb a reasonable person in his or her residence any day between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
