Recycled Water Rules
Clayton County requires every new conveyor car wash to install an operational recycled water system before opening, recycling at least 50 percent of the water it uses, under Code § 98-7(l). The mandate reaches only conveyor washes permitted or built after the ordinance took effect; existing conveyor washes, self-service washes and in-bay automatic washes are exempt.
