TNC Pickup Zones

Miami-Dade County bars Uber, Lyft and other transportation network company (TNC) drivers from picking up riders at designated taxicab stands, soliciting business on the street or accepting street hails. Under County Code § 31-705, every TNC ride must be prearranged through the company's digital platform: drivers can't idle at cab stands, wave down passengers, or display taxi markings, and violations can cost a TNE its County operating license.
