Miami-Dade County Code § 33-202.3

Exceptions. The installation of temporary storm panels approved under Chapter 35, South Florida Building Code shall be permitted as a matter of right and shall not be subject to homeowners' association approval, nor shall such installation be subject to adjacent townhouse owners' approval. However, homeowners' association approval shall be required for the installation of permanent storm shutters.

Board Governance

Every condominium, cooperative and homeowners' association governing residential property in Miami-Dade County must file a written registration with the Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources by February 1 each year. The filing must include governing documents, officer contacts, budgets, audited financials and structural inspection reports, and it renews every 12 months under Chapter 17D.
