Prohibited Species
Walton County's landscaping code prohibits placing or using non-native, invasive, or noxious plants in any required landscape plan, defining the prohibited list by reference to the Florida Exotic Pest Plant Council's Invasive Plant Species List and UF/IFAS, under Land Development Code § 5.01.01(D). Site environmental assessments must flag prohibited species already on a site, and the landscape plan must provide for removing them before and during construction.
