Panel Permits

Installing, altering, or replacing solar panels for water heating, pool heating, or photovoltaic systems in unincorporated Walton County requires a county-licensed solar contractor under Code of Ordinances § 6-66, unless the installer is state-certified and simply registers that license with the Building Department. Licensing carries a $50 resident, $150 nonresident, or $300 out-of-state fee under § 6-68, plus a $35 administrative fee for registering contractors.
