Casa Grande, AZ Fire Regulations: Fireworks (2026)

City Code Section 9.22.020(A) prohibits the use, discharge or ignition of fireworks within the City except as the section allows: permissible consumer fireworks may be used between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. from June 24 through July 6 and from December 26 through January 4, and additionally between 11:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. on New Year's Eve into New Year's Day and on July 4th into July 5th. Fireworks are prohibited on all public property, including public parks and public rights-of-way, at all times, and the seasonal allowance is suspended on any date a federal or state agency imposes a stage-one or higher fire restriction.

Novelty items and supervised public displays authorized under A.R.S. Section 36-1605(A) are exempt from the general ban. The Fire Chief may permit a supervised public display under Section 9.22.020(C) on written application filed at least five days in advance, subject to investigation of the operator, location and handling, and permits cannot issue, and may be revoked, during High Fire Danger warnings. Section 9.22.030 bars selling fireworks to anyone under sixteen and requires point-of-sale signage under Section 9.22.040. Enforcement runs through the fire chief, fire marshal, city police officers, code enforcement officers or the city attorney, who may issue civil or criminal complaints under Section 9.22.050.
