Ogden City Code section 11-6-2 makes it unlawful to discharge any rocket, firecracker, roman candle, gun or other fireworks or explosive matter anywhere in the city without written permission from the mayor or the mayor's designee, granted only after a written application is reviewed and reported on by the fire chief.
