Ogden, UT Food Trucks & Mobile Vendors: Food Truck Permits (2026)

Section 15-13-37 of the Ogden City Code sets separate rules depending on where a mobile food truck or trailer operates. In a private parking lot, the vehicle must offer customers a permanent bathroom facility, sit on an improved portion of the lot, and locate on a lot where an occupied business is already running. A mobile food trailer combined with its tow vehicle cannot exceed 40 feet in length or two parking stalls, and it may never be unhitched from the tow vehicle. In the public right-of-way, a truck or trailer may park only for the time limit posted on that street, is limited to one linear block per day and one vehicle per linear block, may extend a canopy no more than two feet toward the sidewalk, and must occupy legal parallel parking with its serving window facing the sidewalk; it cannot operate in front of a building housing a restaurant on the main floor without that restaurant's permission, or immediately next to a church or synagogue without the property owner's permission.
