Beyond the hours, Section 2-10-1406(B)(11) lays out dozens of location buffers that apply citywide regardless of zone: vendors cannot operate within 500 feet of a school, place of worship, or child day-care facility while in use, within 200 feet of another sidewalk vendor, within 200 feet of a certified farmers' market or swap meet during its operating hours, or within the Civic Center's 200-foot perimeter.
Stationary vending also requires a sidewalk at least eight feet wide, and vendors cannot set up within 15 feet of a building entrance, 100 feet of an active playground or sports field, or 25 feet of a fire hydrant, marked crosswalk or driveway. , let alone at all on a Sunday.
