La Habra, CA Food Trucks & Mobile Vendors: Vending Zones (2026)

In the City of La Habra, § 8.26.060(B) fixes numeric buffers around fixed features: vendors must stay at least 12 inches from any curb face where parking is banned, 15 feet from a building entrance or exit, 25 feet from a fire hydrant, colored curb zone, ATM, driveway, alley or street corner, trash and recycling receptacles, bike racks, benches, bus stops or public art, and 24 inches from a parallel parking space. Broader exclusions bar vending entirely on emergency vehicle accessways, private property, any public property that is not a sidewalk or pathway (alleys, roadways, parking lots), sidewalks with more than a 10 percent grade, and within 1,000 feet of an approved special event such as the Corn Festival or Citrus Fair for its duration.

Vendors also cannot operate within 50 feet of another sidewalk vendor or within 500 feet of a grade school, place of worship or child day-care facility, at a park under an exclusive concession agreement, or wherever the setup would cut pedestrian clearance below four feet or violate ADA access. Stationary vending is confined to sidewalks or pathways at least eight feet wide under subsection (B)(9). Subsection (C) separately bars receptacles from touching or being affixed to any structure, from mailboxes and fire hydrants to street trees, utility vaults and traffic signal poles.
