Section 11-1210(1)(d) requires that a home occupation generate only minimal vehicular traffic on local streets and not create traffic congestion, unsafe access, or parking needs that inconvenience either the subject property or the adjoining properties. That traffic standard is reinforced by staffing limits: subsection (i) caps a home occupation at no more than one person who does not reside on the premises actually working there, and subsection (j) separately caps at one the number of non-resident workers who may be transported from the premises to a job site, covering occupations like contracting crews that stage from a home.

Together these subsections mean a resident cannot run an operation that brings in multiple employees' vehicles, client cars, or delivery traffic beyond what a single-family street can absorb. Section 11-1210(1)(k) adds that any delivery vehicle regularly serving the home occupation must be of a type customarily used to serve residential neighborhoods, capped at a maximum gross vehicle weight of 26,000 pounds, which rules out full-size commercial trucking for the business. A vehicle used in the business, if its nature or signage identifies it as such, must also be parked in the driveway or garage under subsection (h), not left on the street.
