Full Breakdown

Town Code § 15-7(1) makes it unlawful to operate or permit operation of a radio, television, phonograph, musical instrument, sound amplifier or similar device that creates a noise disturbance across a real property boundary or inside a noise-sensitive zone between 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. the following day. Section 15-7(2) separately targets loudspeakers and public address systems, barring their use between 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. if the sound crosses a residential property line or reaches a noise-sensitive zone. Both bans apply on top of, not instead of, the Table 1 decibel limits in § 15-4.
