Davie, FL Parking Rules: Street Parking Limits (2026)

On-street parking in the Town of Davie is governed by a combination of the Town's own Code of Ordinances Chapter 24 (Traffic and Vehicles) and Florida's State Uniform Traffic Control Law, which municipalities apply to public streets. Florida Statute 316.1945 (Stopping, standing, or parking prohibited in specified places) prohibits a vehicle, except when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic or to comply with law or an officer's directions, from stopping, standing, or parking on a sidewalk, in front of a public or private driveway, within an intersection, on a crosswalk, within a designated safety zone, alongside or opposite a street excavation or obstruction when it would obstruct traffic, and in other listed locations. Because Davie is an incorporated municipality, the Town may also adopt and post its own time limits, no-parking zones, and permit areas through Chapter 24 and posted signage; specific posted restrictions control where they exist. The Town's Code Compliance Division and Police Department enforce parking on public rights-of-way, and the Town also separately restricts where utility trailers, boats, RVs, and commercial vehicles may sit on residential streets and swales (see Town Code Sections 24-43.1 and 12-33(G)).
