Davie, FL Parking Rules: RV & Boat Parking (2026)

The Town of Davie, an incorporated municipality in Broward County, regulates recreational vehicle, boat, and trailer storage in residential areas through its own Code of Ordinances rather than relying solely on Broward County or Florida law. Per the Town's Code Compliance and Planning guidance, the parking or storage of non-commercial trailers used for personal or recreational purposes is allowed provided the trailer(s) are registered to a resident of the residential lot. In residential districts other than RR, A-1, AG, and R-1, such non-commercial trailers must be parked within a carport or garage, or parked within the side or rear yard and concealed from public view by a building, dense shrubbery, fencing, or similar screening (Town Code Section 12-33(G)). Separately, Town Code Section 24-43.1 (Restrictions on vehicle parking) addresses utility trailers, boats, and RVs: in an R-1 zone they may be kept on the property, but they shall not be parked or stored within a driveway, front yard, sidewalk, or swale area and must be relocated to the side or rear yard. The combined effect is that visible front-yard, driveway, or swale storage of boats, RVs, and utility trailers is generally prohibited in standard residential districts, while the more rural and large-lot zones (RR, A-1, AG, R-1) receive more flexibility.
