Under Irving Code of Ordinances Chapter 22, construction, demolition, alteration, repair, or excavation of streets and highways in or adjacent to a residential district is prohibited outside of 6 AM to 9 PM on weekdays and 7 AM to 8 PM on weekends. Emergency construction work is exempt from these restrictions. Special permits for after-hours construction may be issued for a period of not more than 3 days and may be renewed once for an additional 3 days or less. Non-emergency amplified signaling devices are limited to 10 consecutive seconds per hour.
