Per TMC §9.20.060(D), construction within one-quarter mile of an occupied residence is prohibited between 6:30 PM and 7:00 AM weekdays, and allowed only 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM on Saturdays. Construction on Sundays and nationally recognized holidays is prohibited unless exempted by §9.20.070. Residents working on their own homes are exempt from the Sunday/holiday prohibition and may work 7 AM to 6:30 PM. Public works projects and emergency utility work are exempt. Construction-related exceptions require a minor exception form submitted at least 72 hours in advance with inspection fee, approved by the city manager.
