Under the Allen County Zoning Ordinance (3-4-2-1(3)), residential lots in the unincorporated county may not have large commercial vehicles parked or stored outside a public right-of-way. The prohibited list includes school and religious-institution buses, semi-trailers, semi-trucks, large pickup or panel trucks over one ton, oversized pull-behind trailers, and 'other large commercial vehicles not otherwise listed.' The only exception is an A1 agricultural parcel over five acres, where up to two such vehicles may be parked outside. Inside Fort Wayne and towns, the city zoning code controls.
