Under DMC 22.08.110, commercial trucks not on an approved truck route may park only where signs or markings permit. Commercial vehicles cannot park more than 18 inches from the curb between noon and 1:30 p.m., Monday-Saturday, on listed downtown streets.
Section 22.08.110 of the Davis Municipal Code, titled 'Commercial truck parking permitted,' regulates where commercial trucks may stop and park. Commercial trucks that are not traveling on an approved truck route are permitted to park only as indicated by signs or markings on specified streets. In addition, commercial vehicles are prohibited from parking more than eighteen inches from the curb between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday, on listed downtown streets including D, E, F and G Streets. The general 120-hour street-storage limit under Section 22.08.050 also applies to commercial vehicles. Loading and unloading is separately governed by the loading-zone rules in Article 22.09.
Parking a commercial truck where not signed or marked as permitted, or violating the noon-to-1:30 p.m. curb-distance rule downtown, is a citable violation.
