Under City Code § 98-3, a "commercial vehicle" is any vehicle (other than one used solely for personal or family transport) with a GVWR, gross weight, or gross combination weight of 10,001 pounds or more, a vehicle built for 16-plus passengers, a semi-trailer, or a truck-tractor. Such vehicles cannot be parked or stored longer than one hour in a residential or business district as mapped under Zoning Ordinance No. 248, except for active loading/unloading/delivery, emergency repairs, when directed by a police officer, or when authorized by an approved site plan, permitted use, special land use, or variance. One extra commercial vehicle per loading bay is also allowed where a building has a loading bay.
