City Code § 907.06 makes it unlawful to paint house numbers on curbs within the public right-of-way unless the person doing the painting first gets written consent from the abutting property owner whose address is being painted. Any curb numbers that are painted still have to comply with the numbering and size rules in §§ 907.01 and 907.05. Arabic numerals at least four inches tall, in a color that contrasts with the curb surface. The Department enforces the chapter, and a violation is a minor misdemeanor under § 907.99.
