Columbus, OH Parking Rules: Street Parking Limits (2026)

Columbus City Codes Chapter 2151 lists the places a vehicle cannot stop, stand, or park on a city street: within 5 feet of a driveway, in an intersection, within 10 feet of a fire hydrant, on a crosswalk, within 20 feet of a crosswalk or intersection, alongside another parked vehicle, and more under Section 2151.01. Section 2151.06(b) separately requires a parked vehicle to face the direction of travel on that side of the street, banning wrong-way parking except where the code allows back-in angle parking or motorcycle parking. Violations are parking infractions handled under Chapter 2150, which allows impoundment or immobilization for repeat offenders with unpaid judgments.
