Sec. 28-1655(3) allows an exception through site plan review only where extending electrical service is physically impractical; the code explicitly states that financial impracticality alone is not a valid basis for an exception.
Violations & Fines
A site plan that fails to provide the required 35 percent EV infrastructure mix cannot be approved by the development services department, and a completed project found out of compliance is subject to the citywide penalty under Sec. 1-16, a fine of up to $500.00 or 60 days imprisonment, with each day of noncompliance a separate offense. Reserved EV-installed spaces used by a non-electric vehicle also violate Sec. 28-1655(2)(c).
