Section 240-3E, the electrical subcode fee schedule administered by the Electrical Subcode Official at the Irvington Construction Code Agency, lists a flat $300 fee for an 'Electrical vehicle charger,' the same flat-rate treatment used for solar panel installations under the same subsection. That fee sits on top of the $100 minimum permit fee that applies to any electrical work, and because a charger installation is construction work, the same enforcement and inspection framework that governs every other electrical permit applies: the Construction Official issues the permit, and a denial or a refusal to act on the application can be appealed to the Essex County Construction Board of Appeals under § 240-2.

Because the fee schedule treats EV chargers as a distinct line item rather than folding them into the general fixture count, a homeowner or business installing a charger in Irvington should expect the flat $300 charge regardless of the charger's amperage or the size of any accompanying panel work, unlike the amperage-scaled service panel fees the same schedule uses elsewhere.
