Full Breakdown

Township Code § 7-17 bars anyone from parking on the streets listed in its numbered zones without a current parking permit issued by the Township and displayed on the vehicle. Six zones are currently mapped (Zone #1 through Zone #6), each covering specific residential streets, with Zone #2 catching "all other current residential permit parking areas not incorporated into another parking zone." Only residents of a given zone and their visitors qualify for that zone's color-coded permit, and the enforced hours and days vary by street segment within each zone's table.

Violations & Fines

Parking without a valid permit in a signed zone is enforceable under the Township's general penalty, Code § 1-5.1: up to a $2,000 fine or 90 days at the Municipal Court's discretion.

Frequently Asked Questions

Only if it's in a mapped residential zone: six zones exist, each requiring its own color-coded permit under § 7-17.
Can a non-resident park in a permit zone?
