Folsom Municipal Code restricts RV and boat parking on residential streets and driveways. RVs and trailers may generally not be stored in front yards or on public streets for more than 72 hours. Side or rear yard storage with screening is typical.
Under Folsom Municipal Code Title 10 and zoning regulations in Title 17, recreational vehicles, boats, trailers, and campers may not be permanently stored on the public street β the 72-hour CVC Β§22651(k) rule applies. In residential zones, RVs and boats must typically be stored in the rear or side yard behind a required fence or screening, not in the front setback. Loading and unloading of an RV or boat in front of the owner's residence is generally permitted for up to 72 hours. Oversized vehicles over 22 feet or 10,000 pounds are subject to CVC Β§22507.5 restrictions where the city has posted signage. Living in an RV parked on a street or in a driveway is prohibited except for short visits authorized by permit.
Illegal front-yard storage: notice and correction order. Overstay on street: 72-hour tow under CVC Β§22651(k). Inhabited RV: nuisance abatement.
